٠ Ravenswood Asylum.

U STORY

Ravenswood Asylum.

The old town of Ravenswood was known for its dense fog, but no one could explain the strange lights that often danced through it.

Whispers of disappearances and ghostly apparitions floated around the town for decades, but most dismissed them as mere legends.

That is, until the night of the full moon in October when Emma and her friends decided to explore the infamous Ravenswood Asylum.

Emma, Sam, Jake, and Lily had heard the stories of the asylum being haunted by the spirits of patients who had been tortured and experimented on by a deranged doctor.

The building had been abandoned for over fifty years, its windows shattered and walls covered in vines.

The townsfolk avoided it, but the allure of a thrilling adventure was too much for the group to resist.

Armed with flashlights and a sense of invincibility, they made their way through the fog to the asylum’s front gates. The air was thick with the smell of decay and mildew.

The iron gates creaked ominously as they pushed them open and stepped onto the overgrown path leading to the entrance.

The asylum loomed before them, a shadowy monolith against the pale moonlight.

Inside, the air was even colder, and an eerie silence enveloped them. Their flashlights revealed peeling wallpaper, broken furniture, and medical equipment scattered across the floor.

As they ventured deeper into the asylum, the walls seemed to close in, and a sense of unease settled over the group.

They reached the basement, where the experiments were said to have taken place. The air was damp, and the walls were lined with rusted metal doors.

Emma’s flashlight flickered, and she shook it nervously.

They stopped in front of a large, metal door with a small, barred window.

A sense of dread filled the air as if the walls themselves were whispering warnings to turn back.

Jake, always the bravest, pushed open the door.

Inside was a small room with a single metal table in the center. Straps hung limply from its sides.

The room smelled of old blood and antiseptic.

On the walls were disturbing drawings and notes in a language they couldn’t understand.

The temperature dropped further, and their breath came out in visible puffs.

As they turned to leave, the door slammed shut with a deafening bang.

The flashlights flickered wildly before going out completely, plunging them into darkness.

Panic set in as they fumbled to turn them back on.

Emma managed to get hers working and pointed it towards the door.

What she saw made her blood run cold.

Standing in the doorway was a tall, gaunt figure in a tattered lab coat.

Its eyes were hollow sockets, and its mouth was twisted into a grotesque grin.

The figure moved closer, its bony fingers reaching out.

The group screamed and backed away, but there was nowhere to go.

The figure’s voice echoed through the room, a guttural whisper that chilled them to the bone.“Welcome to my experiment,” it said. “You’ll make perfect subjects.”

The flashlights died again, and the room was plunged into darkness once more.

The last thing they heard before the darkness consumed them completely was the sound of metal scraping against metal and the agonized screams of their friends.

The next morning, the fog lifted to reveal an empty asylum.

The townsfolk whispered of the four who had gone missing, but no one dared to investigate.

The asylum stood silent and foreboding, its secrets buried in the darkness.

And on foggy nights, some claimed to hear the screams of the lost, echoing through the town, a grim reminder of the horrors that lurked within Ravenswood Asylum.
